Ubiquiti is the first indoor commercial Wi-Fi AirRouter that has powerful AirOS features which are Capable of connecting over 100 meters away at the speed of 150 Mbps. It functions as a Router, AP, client or WDS repeater / bridge. It is really easy to use and you just need to around few seconds after the router has first powered on, it's red and yellow LEDs will illuminate. After another next few seconds the router has completed its boot up process, indicated by the yellow LED turning off. When the router has successfully contacted a Hotspot authentication server the red LED will turn off. The hotspot is now ready for use. It just works as your helping hand to build the WIFI network around you.
The AirRouter offers channel shifting, a priority that Ubiquiti feature allows you to offset your channel from standard channels. Your network benefits by being private and secure for your users while making it invisible to millions of unwanted subscribers. The router also supports AirMax which allows you to connect other Ubiquiti AirMax devices at higher performance rate. This is not a router for beginners. The AirOS those ships with it uses iptables for the firewall, and by default everything is completely open. If you are not intimately comfortable with using iptables, this router will be tough to configure securely.
